CRE-related City Council and Planning Department decisions

Over the last year, Seattle’s CRE-related decisions rezoned 66+ acres across 37+ parcels (unlocking ~34,818 homes) and approved $268.5M in funding, including $54.5M for affordable housing. A June 30, 2025 code overhaul allows up to 4 units per lot citywide (6 near transit or when 2 units are affordable), adjusts lot coverage/height/setbacks, and permits up to two ADUs per lot.
