The City Council of Philadelphia authorized the Commissioner of Public Property to transfer fee simple title of 17 properties to the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority, which will then transfer them to the Philadelphia Land Bank. These properties include 4152, 4154, 4200, 4202, 4204, 4220, 4227 Viola Street; 4153, 4157, 4205 Leidy Avenue; 1703, 1711 N. 42nd Street; and 1129, 1135, 1201, 1205, 1207 N. 41st Street. This action is taken pursuant to Section 16-405 of the Philadelphia Code, which permits the Commissioner to transfer surplus property to the Redevelopment Authority for subsequent transfer to the Land Bank.
