The City Council of Philadelphia approved the renaming of the 3900 Block of Conshohocken Avenue to "Bishop Keith Reed Way". This resolution honors Bishop Keith W. Reed Sr. for his extensive work as a preacher, teacher, lecturer, and counselor. Bishop Reed began his service in 1982 as a pastor, expanded his ministry through mentorship and education, and established the Sharon Baptist Bible Institute. Under his leadership, the Sharon Baptist Church grew to 3500 followers by 1999. He was consecrated as a Bishop in 2007, overseeing 18 pastors, and built the Sharon Community Center in 2009 for community support. The resolution acknowledges his dedication and impact on the community.
