The City of Philadelphia is authorized to acquire fee simple title or a lesser real estate interest in nine properties located at 1911, 1913, 1915, 1917, 1919, 1921, 1923, 1925, and 1927 Cayuga Street. This acquisition can occur through various means, including purchase, condemnation, deed in lieu, donation, or dedication. These properties are currently owned by the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority, the Philadelphia Land Bank, or the Philadelphia Housing and Development Corporation. The ordinance permits the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority to transfer these properties to the Philadelphia Land Bank for eventual transfer to the City. The Commissioner of Public Property is tasked with executing necessary instruments for the acquisition, and the City Solicitor is responsible for reviewing and approving all associated documents to safeguard the City's interests.
