The ARTS, PARKS, LIBRARIES, AND COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE considered and approved a report recommending the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles' (HACLA) request for reimbursement of labor and material costs for the Mar Vista Gardens Child Care project. This includes costs incurred by HACLA's own construction force personnel and payments made to the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) for unpaid and underpaid wages to contractors and sub-contractors, totaling $9,030.35. The committee also recommended authorizing the City Engineer to negotiate and execute Amendment No. 1 to Proposition K Grant Agreement No. C-124145 to facilitate these reimbursements. This decision is a committee recommendation and is not yet official until the City Council acts.
