An ordinance was approved to rezone approximately 11.58 acres located at 0 Cedar Bay Road in Council District 2, between Main Street North and Cedar Branch Road. The property, owned by Industrial Park Investments, Inc., was reclassified from Residential Rural-Acre (RR-Acre) District to Residential Low Density-60 (RLD-60) District. The rezoning is consistent with the 2045 Comprehensive Plan and furthers its goals, objectives, and policies. The application was considered by the Planning and Development Department and reviewed by the Planning Commission, both of which rendered advisory recommendations. The rezoning specifically covers Lot 9, Broward Subdivision of Lot 3, Section 7, Township 1 South, Range 27 East, together with riparian rights, excluding a portion taken by Duval County and the State Road Department. The applicant for this rezoning was Hayden Phillips, Esq. The enactment of this ordinance will be effective upon signature by the Council President and Council Secretary.
