An ordinance adopting a small-scale amendment to the Future Land Use Map series of the 2045 Comprehensive Plan by changing the future land use designation from Low Density Residential (LDR) to Light Industrial (LI) on approximately 2.05 acres. The property is located at the northwest corner of Springrove Street and 26th Street West in Council District 10. The application was filed by Cyndy Trimmer, Esq., on behalf of Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville, Inc. The City Council conducted public hearings and considered recommendations from the Planning and Development Department, the Planning Commission, and the Land Use and Zoning Committee. The amendment is intended to preserve and enhance present advantages, encourage the most appropriate use of land, water, and resources, overcome deficiencies, and deal with future problems related to land use and development in Jacksonville. All development must be consistent with the amended 2045 Comprehensive Plan.
