The City Council of Houston consented to the addition of two tracts totaling 0.6932 acres of vacant land to Harris County Water Control and Improvement District No. 84. The land is proposed for single-family residential development. The District, created in 1963, currently spans 1,198.2895 acres within Harris County and is within the City of Houston's extraterritorial jurisdiction. The annexation does not release the land from the City's ETJ. The Utility District Review Committee reviewed the application concerning wastewater collection and treatment, potable water distribution, and stormwater conveyance, recommending approval. The District will provide wastewater treatment and potable water, and all future plans for utility construction must be approved by the City.
