The City of Houston City Council is considering an ordinance to approve and authorize a Subrecipient Agreement with Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM). This agreement would provide up to $1,153,870.00 in HOME Investment Partnerships Program – American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP) funding. The program aims to serve a minimum of 65 households annually who are at-risk of or experiencing homelessness. NAM's Diversion Program will work with clients referred through The Way Home's Coordinated Entry System to identify immediate alternative housing arrangements, providing services like case management, food, transportation, outreach, financial assistance, and referrals to wrap-around services. The initial agreement period is from the date of countersignature to August 31, 2026, with an option for a one-year renewal. NAM was selected after responding to a Request for Expression of Interest in March 2025.
