The City and County of Denver's City Council approved a $5,050,000 contract with The Salvation Army to provide Rapid-Rehousing (RRH) services to people experiencing homelessness. This Transformational Rapid Rehousing Program (TRRH) aims to serve over 200 clients by offering financial assistance for rental, utilities, and move-in support, coupled with 12 months of Critical Time Intervention housing-first case management. The program ensures stability for participants through comprehensive support, including assistance with mental and physical health care, transportation, food resources, employment, and financial literacy. The services include securing vital documents, obtaining housing, understanding leases, explaining tenant rights and obligations, and identifying suitable housing opportunities. The contract is effective from January 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. This initiative supports the Housing Central Command (HCC) for the Department of Housing Stability (HOST) and will enroll new households for 2025 while continuing support for those enrolled in 2024.
