This ordinance authorizes the Director of Public Utilities to enter into a contract modification with DLZ Ohio, Inc. for construction administration/inspection services as part of the Construction Administration/Construction Inspection Services 2023-2025 contract. DLZ Ohio, Inc. was initially awarded a contract to perform construction administration/inspection services for Department of Public Utilities Capital Improvement Projects that bid during the years 2023, 2024, and 2025. The contract is modified as needed throughout the three-year period to include new projects as they go to construction. This specific modification adds the Circuit #23 Street Lighting Improvements project, CIP No. 670892-100000, in the amount of $159,356.54 to the scope. The work will primarily be performed in the Franklinton community area (Area 54). This modification is the ninth, bringing the total contract value to $5,153,569.13. The modification was anticipated in the original legislation (Ordinance 1768-2023). Funding of $159,356.54 is available within the Electricity Bond Fund, and the 2025 Capital Improvement Budget will be amended accordingly with a transfer of cash and appropriation between projects (from Circuit 14060 Reliability Improvements to Circuit 23 Street Lighting Improvements).
