The City of Columbus Department of Public Service approved the transfer of a 0.062-acre (2,700 square foot) portion of public right-of-way located north of Spring Street and east of Cleveland Avenue to Columbus State Community College. This transfer, facilitated by a quitclaim deed, will allow the college to incorporate the land into an adjacent parcel to meet setback requirements for a future development. The Land Review Commission recommended the transfer at no cost to the college, despite an established value of $81,200.00 for the right-of-way. A general utility easement will be retained by the City for existing utilities within the transferred area, with provisions for future release upon utility relocation. The ordinance authorizes the Director of Public Service to execute all necessary documents for this transfer.
