The City Council of Columbus authorized the Director of the Department of Public Safety to enter into two contracts totaling $300,265.00 for the RREACT (Rapid Response Emergency Addiction Crisis Team) program. The first contract, for $90,000.00, is with Alina Sharafutdinova DBA Village Venture, LLC for program and grant management services. The second contract, for $210,265.00, is with the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio, acting as administrative agent for Franklin County Family and Children First Council, for family case management and trauma services. The ordinance also waived competitive bidding provisions, citing the unique and extensive experience of both entities with the RREACT program. The measure was declared an emergency to ensure uninterrupted services and timely financial transactions.
