Columbus City Council authorized a $1.2 million grant agreement with Hilltop RISE Economic Community Development Corp. for the acquisition and redevelopment of two parcels located at 3085-3093 West Broad Street and 3095-3099 West Broad Street. The project aims to create mixed-use developments, including affordable housing units (at or below 80% AMI) and approximately 6,112 square feet of commercial retail space. These properties are situated along the LinkUS West Broad Street bus rapid transit (BRT) corridor, supporting the city's ZoneIn initiatives for higher-density and mixed-use developments. The funding, sourced from the Old Dublin Road TIF Fund, will cover property acquisition and related costs. The decision was declared an emergency to ensure Hilltop RISE could meet a critical acquisition closing deadline.
