The City Council of Atlanta adopted Ordinance 25-O-1487, authorizing the Mayor or his designee to amend the 2021 HOME Investment Fund Budget. This amendment accepts additional HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME-ARP) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the American Rescue Plan. The additional allocation is $11,922.00, bringing the total HOME-ARP award to $8,003,475.00. These funds are intended to provide assistance to vulnerable citizens with housing, shelter, and case management services, specifically targeting individuals and households who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, and other vulnerable populations. The Department of Grants and Community Development (DGCD) recommends these additional funds be used to fund a subrecipient, Partners for Home, to provide outreach, housing navigation, case management, and other supportive services.
