The City of Atlanta has authorized the acquisition of three parcels of land totaling approximately 25.42 acres from Intrenchment Creek Coalition, Inc. for $10,900,000.00. The properties are located at 0 Intrenchment Creek (TPID 14 0024 LL0293), 0 Custer Avenue (TPID 14 0024 LL0301), and 0 Boulevard SE (TPID 14 002300110324), Atlanta, GA 30315. This acquisition is for the future expansion of the Custer Avenue Combined Sewer Control Facility (CSCF) to provide additional space for the existing and future needs of the City’s water and wastewater management system. The expansion will help manage wet weather flow, meet regulatory permit requirements, and reduce climate change impacts by allowing for potential treatment expansion and increased flow. The ordinance also authorizes funds for due diligence, closing costs, signage, demolition, site security, and stabilization. It waives Section 2-1541(d) of the Procurement and Real Estate Code to facilitate the timely purchase.
