The San Francisco City Council approved Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. PRO.0068 with Arcadis U.S. Inc. for Biosolids Digester Facilities Construction Management Staff Augmentation Services. This amendment increases the contract amount by $26,500,000, bringing the total not-to-exceed amount to $68,500,000. It also extends the contract duration by three years and nine months, resulting in a new total contract duration of 10 years and nine months, from August 28, 2018, through May 27, 2029. The extension and increased budget are necessary to reflect the current schedule and budget for the Biosolids Digester Facilities Project, ensuring continued qualified construction management support through the completion of new biosolids digester facilities at the Southeast Water Pollution Control Plant. The project, which began in 2019, is approximately 65% complete. Additionally, Arcadis U.S. Inc. committed to a minimum of $815,476.19 in community benefits, including direct financial contributions and volunteer hours for public education and environmental justice initiatives.
