The San Francisco City Council approved a $15,000,000 professional services agreement (Contract No. PRO.0177) with CDM Smith Inc. for a 10-year term (August 2025 - July 2035). This contract will provide planning and engineering design services for various San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) facilities in the Sunol Valley, Alameda County, California. The improvements target facilities such as the Sunol Valley Water Treatment Plant, Calaveras and San Antonio Reservoirs, San Antonio Pump Station, Sunol Yard, Alameda Creek Watershed Center, and chemical storage/injection facilities. The services will address needs for repair and replacement, focusing on additions, improvements, repairs, or retrofits to existing water pump stations, water treatment facilities, and associated process and electrical systems, as part of the SFPUC's Water Enterprise Capital Improvement Program. The contract scope includes architectural, civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical, treatment process, electrical, instrumentation & controls, CAD/BIM, drafting, surveying, technical writing, and other specialized engineering services.
