The Board of Supervisors approved the First Amendment to the lease for the City’s temporary shelter program at 2177 Jerrold Avenue, amending the lease with Lawrence B. Stone Properties #08, LLC. The resolution authorizes up to $3,055,982 in City funds for additional improvements, including the conversion of an existing building into an 82-bed congregate dormitory and a utilities upgrade to support the expanded shelter footprint. The amendment maintains the original lease term of January 2, 2024 through January 1, 2039 and affirms CEQA exemption under AB 101. The Planning Department’s consistency findings with the General Plan and Planning Code Section 101.1 priority policies are also incorporated.
