This ordinance amends San Francisco's Planning Code to eliminate retail use size limits and retail ratio requirements specifically for Health Service Uses and Reproductive Health Clinics within the Mixed Use-Office (MUO) District located east of 7th Street. Previously, general retail uses exceeding 50,000 square feet required a conditional use authorization. In the MUO District, a conditional use authorization was also mandated for single retail uses over 25,000 square feet, coupled with a requirement for other permitted uses to constitute at least three times the retail area. This amendment exempts Health Service Uses in the MUO District from these existing 50,000 SF and 25,000 SF limits and the associated 3:1 ratio requirements. The Planning Department's determination under CEQA was affirmed, and findings of consistency with the General Plan and priority policies were made. The Board of Supervisors passed the ordinance on June 17, 2025, and it was approved by the Mayor on June 20, 2025.
