The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission approved Amendment No. 3 to Contract No. PRO.0092 with Moffatt and Nichol-AGS JV, increasing the contract by $7 million to a new not-to-exceed total of $12.75 million and extending the term by six years through September 25, 2033. This amendment funds additional engineering services to address California Coastal Commission–mandated design changes, interagency scope coordination, and an expected longer construction period. The scope includes alternatives analysis, conceptual and detailed engineering, environmental review support, state and federal grant assistance, bid and award phases, and construction-phase engineering. The Ocean Beach Climate Change Adaptation Project will close the Great Highway extension, nourish and restore the beach, and install multipurpose coastal protection measures. It will also preserve public access, recreation trails and habitat while safeguarding critical SFPUC wastewater assets from erosion and sea-level rise.
