The ordinance amends the Planning Code and Zoning Map to create the 3250 19th Avenue Special Sign District overlay on the RH-1(D) zoned property at 3250 19th Avenue, APN Block 7231 Lot 003. It establishes sign controls allowing one sign per 130 linear feet of street frontage, wall sign area up to one square foot per three linear feet of frontage (max 140 square feet), wall sign height up to 50 feet, and freestanding sign area up to one square foot per seven linear feet of frontage (max 60 square feet). The SSD permits freestanding signs within required front setbacks provided they are at least three feet from the street property line. It mandates that sign frontage be measured by street visibility and prohibits combining multiple frontages for additional signage. All signs may be non-illuminated or indirectly illuminated. The Board affirmed CEQA exemption and findings for consistency with the General Plan and Planning Code Sections 101.1 and 302.
