The San Francisco Public Works Director approved the acceptance and dedication of Phase 1A public infrastructure for the Mission Rock Special Use District, including the newly dedicated streets—Bridgeview Way, Dr. Maya Angelou Lane, Toni Stone Crossing—and a portion of Third Street. The decision sets official right-of-way widths, street grades, and sidewalk widths, establishes that the City will maintain street surfaces from back of curb to back of curb, and that adjacent property owners retain standard sidewalk maintenance and underlying LCC warranty obligations. It delegates authority for final acceptance of deferred infrastructure, authorizes execution of a PG&E absolving service agreement for power to the 3rd Street Bridge Pilot House, and approves three major encroachment permits: a Global Master Encroachment Permit (GMEP) for Mission Rock Utilities to maintain private utility systems, an Interdepartmental Master Encroachment Permit (IMEP) for the Port’s custom improvements, and a Major Encroachment Permit for LCC monitoring instruments. The order also amends the Public Works Code to recognize the Port’s permitting authority for minor retail sidewalk activations and to require excavation permits for all work within the Mission Rock SU District.
