The City and County of San Francisco resolved to declare its real property at 772 Pacific Avenue and 758 Pacific Avenue (Assessor’s Parcel Block No. 0161, Lot Nos. 014 and 015) as Exempt Surplus Land under California Government Code. This action affirms the use of the property by the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD) for the development of a 15-story, 155-foot tall building comprising 175 units of 100% affordable senior housing, including 130,531 SF of residential use and 13,872 SF of ancillary commercial space. The resolution also confirms MOHCD's intent to convey the property under a long-term ground lease with an annual base rent of $15,000, restricting its use for affordable housing and ancillary commercial space. The project is eligible for ministerial approval under the Affordable Housing and High Road Jobs Act of 2022 and is consistent with the General Plan. The parcels will be combined for this development, with the City leasing the combined site to New Asia Housing, L.P., an entity established by the Chinatown Community Development Center (CCDC).
