The Twin Peaks Promenade Project involves the construction of a new 1,660 linear foot trail with overlook seating areas, educational and wayfinding signage, paved parking, and landscaping within Twin Peaks. Funded by a $1,493,692 grant from the California Department of Parks and Recreation, the project aims to enhance public access to recreational spaces. The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department will operate and maintain the project for 20 years upon completion. It is a part of the Recreational Trails Program, which encourages non-motorized transportation and public open spaces.
This project transforms Twin Peaks into a more accessible and recreational-friendly area, encouraging public use and engagement. It promotes sustainable transportation and enhances the city’s commitment to open public spaces.
