The City and County of San Francisco approved a Development Agreement with Stonestown NW Parcel LLC, Stonestown Shopping Center, L.P., and Stonestown Anchor Acquisition, L.P., for a mixed-use development on approximately 30 acres in the southwest part of San Francisco. The project will include up to 3,491 residential units, consisting of both market rate and affordable housing, 160,000 square feet of retail space, 96,000 square feet of office space, 63,000 square feet of cultural and educational uses, 4,861 parking spaces, and six acres of publicly accessible open space. The agreement includes various waivers from municipal code provisions to facilitate the development, recognizing the project's significant community benefits, including housing, job creation, and infrastructure improvements.
This development is a major transformation of the Stonestown area, addressing the need for more housing and community amenities in San Francisco while providing substantial public benefits, including affordable housing and significant economic contributions.
