The City and County of San Francisco have approved a substantial loan agreement, not exceeding $52,362,512, for the third infrastructure phase of the Sunnydale HOPE SF Development. This phase, covering 14.67 acres, will include the preparation and construction of affordable housing units, market-rate buildings, public right-of-way improvements, and new open spaces. The infrastructure work will start in July 2024 and is anticipated to be completed by Q1 2026, with full acceptance by the Board of Supervisors expected by Q4 2026.
This loan agreement is crucial for advancing the Sunnydale HOPE SF initiative, which aims to transform the Visitacion Valley neighborhood into a vibrant mixed-income community while ensuring no displacement of current residents. The infrastructure improvements will support the construction of new housing units and community spaces, addressing both public and private development needs.
