Philadelphia City Council authorized the Philadelphia Land Bank to transfer title of ten vacant parcels on N 6th Street under Chapter 16-700 of The Philadelphia Code and Act 153 of 2012. These parcels—2407 through 2447 N 6th St—will be conveyed for the development of owner-occupied housing. The homes to be built will participate in the Neighborhood Preservation Initiative’s Turn the Key program, which provides affordable purchase opportunities. The Land Bank Board determined that transferring these parcels best serves the public interest, promoting neighborhood revitalization and stabilizing homeownership rates. By clearing clouded titles and enabling redevelopment, the resolution advances strategic asset management of city-owned land in the 7th Council District.
