On March 7, 2024, the New York City Council approved a rezoning of 230 Kent Avenue in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The rezoning enables an 8-story, mixed-use residential, commercial, and community facility building with 40 housing units (including approximately 12 affordable units), ground-floor retail and community space, and 20 bicycle parking spaces. The Council modified the application to remove MIH Option 2 and exclude a neighboring Con Edison utility property from the rezoning area. The site, formerly limited to lower-density industrial and residential uses, will see increased density and diversified uses under the new plan.
