An ordinance (BL2025-942) was passed to authorize building material restrictions for a proposed Specific Plan Zoning District (BL2025-941) located at Old Hickory Boulevard, approximately 2,502 feet southwest of Harris Hills Lane. The 25.44-acre site is planned to permit 52 single-family lots and 50 multi-family residential units. The ordinance mandates that building facades be constructed of brick, brick veneer, stone, cast stone, cementitious siding, and glass, or similar materials, unless otherwise approved with the preliminary SP. The Planning Commission approved the associated Specific Plan with conditions on June 12, 2025, and the ordinance was passed by the Metropolitan Council with a final action date of August 19, 2025.
