This ordinance amends Section 17.20.030 of the Metropolitan Code to eliminate the minimum parking requirements for the "bar or nightclub" land use outside of the Urban Zoning Overlay District (UZO). Currently, one parking space for every 75 square feet of floor area is required for this use outside the UZO. Inside the UZO, there is no minimum parking requirement, but a maximum allowance of one parking space per 75 square feet of floor area. The proposed amendment removes the minimum parking requirements for properties outside the UZO, while maintaining the maximum parking allowance within the UZO. The Planning Commission recommended approval (7-0) at their July 24, 2025, meeting.
