This property, currently part of the larger Isaiah Cresswell School site, will transfer custodianship from MNPS to DGS. In exchange, DGS will be responsible for developing a playing field surface with an ADA compliant path connecting it to the Isaiah Cresswell School. DGS will cover the costs of design and construction for both the fire station and the playing field, and MNPS will maintain the playing field and path after completion. Construction is set to begin within two years of the effective date, and MNPS will declare the fire station site surplus for legislative transfer within the same period. The MOU is valued at over $500,000 and required approval by the Metropolitan Council with at least twenty-one affirmative votes.
