An ordinance was introduced to authorize The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing public water and sanitary sewer mains, fire hydrant assemblies, sanitary sewer manhole, and easements. Specifically, it involves the abandonment of approximately 71 linear feet of existing six-inch water main, 280 linear feet of existing eight-inch sanitary sewer main, two fire hydrant assemblies, and one sanitary sewer manhole. Concurrently, the ordinance proposes the acceptance of new infrastructure, including approximately 652 linear feet of new six-inch water main, 702 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main, two fire hydrant assemblies, and 10 sanitary sewer manholes and associated easements. This infrastructure work is necessary to support project numbers 24-WL-13 and 24-SL-26 at 1520 Hampton Street. The Metropolitan Planning Commission approved mandatory referral No. 2025M-086ES-001 on June 26, 2025, recommending approval of the abandonment and acceptance.
