The Metropolitan Planning Commission has recommended approval for a resolution authorizing the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to abandon existing water infrastructure and accept new water and sanitary sewer mains, fire hydrant assemblies, and sanitary sewer manholes. This project, identified as MWS Project Nos. 25-WL-13 and 25-SL-31, involves abandoning 94 linear feet of existing eight-inch water main. Concurrently, the city will accept 5,354 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP), 873 linear feet of new 12-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), 3,818 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (PVC), 164 linear feet of new eight-inch sanitary sewer main (DIP), nine fire hydrant assemblies, and 21 sanitary sewer manholes. These improvements are designed to serve the Hamilton Church Road Development and will be constructed within existing easements at 3807, 3817, and an unnumbered property on Hamilton Church Road. The Metropolitan Planning Commission approved this mandatory referral on June 25, 2025, with no conditions.
