The resolution authorizes the abandonment of approximately 567 linear feet of existing six-inch water main and one fire hydrant assembly and the acceptance of approximately 553 linear feet of new eight-inch water main (DIP) and one new fire hydrant assembly at 1425 4th Avenue South. This infrastructure work is required to serve a new multifamily development at the site. The Metropolitan Planning Commission approved this mandatory referral on June 13, 2025. Construction of the new water main and fire hydrant will occur within the public right-of-way.
