The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County approved an ordinance to amend a Specific Plan (SP) for 22.43 acres located at Bell Road (unnumbered) and 1456 Bell Road, at the eastern and western corners of Bell Road and Harris Hills Lane. Previously zoned Agricultural/Residential (AR2a) and SP, the amendment permits a mixed-use development. The project is limited to a maximum of 41,000 square feet of nonresidential uses and 316 multi-family residential units. Prohibited nonresidential uses include short-term rentals, bars/nightclubs, car washes, hotels/motels, and warehouses. Key conditions of approval include screening mechanical units and parking from public view, a tree preservation plan, and clear labeling of private driveways. Architectural elevations and public sidewalks must comply with standards. The ordinance also requires collaboration with the community on developing a pocket park near a former cemetery. This decision was made by the Planning Commission on March 27, 2025.
