An ordinance was passed to amend the Metropolitan Code of Laws by changing the zoning from R10 to SP (Specific Plan) for properties at 209 and 211 Walton Lane, totaling 0.74 acres. This change permits the development of a maximum of eight multi-family residential units. Short-term rental properties, both owner-occupied and non-owner-occupied, are explicitly prohibited. The plan includes several conditions for the final site plan, such as providing landscape screening between units 2 and 3 to shield parking visibility from Walton Lane, screening all mechanical units with additional landscaping, and submitting architectural elevations for review and approval. All internal driveways must be labeled as 'Private Driveways' and maintained by a Homeowner's Association. Requirements of the Metro Fire Marshal's Office for emergency vehicle access and adequate water supply must be met before building permits are issued. Minor modifications to the preliminary SP plan may be approved by the Planning Commission, provided they align with the approved plan's principles and do not increase density, add unpermitted uses, eliminate conditions, or add vehicular access points.
