Council passed an ordinance to authorize building material restrictions and requirements for BL2025-789, the proposed Specific Plan Zoning District at 535 Boyds Hilltop Drive. The ordinance requires that all building materials consist of masonry, cementitious fiberboard or other cement-based products, metal panel, and wood accents. The proposed district covers a 1.09-acre parcel located approximately 453 feet north of Old Hickory Boulevard. Sponsored by Councilmember Jennifer Gamble, the measure passed through Planning and Zoning Committee and then on third reading before Metropolitan Council. The restrictions are intended to guide future construction quality and aesthetic consistency within the district.
