The Metropolitan Council approved the conveyance of five surplus parcels to The Housing Fund, Inc. for the Nashville Community Land Trust, authorizing long-term development of affordable housing (Proposal No. 2019M-009PR-001). Under Tennessee Code Annotated § 7-3-314(e), the City may grant tax‐sale acquired real property to nonprofit organizations. These five parcels were part of an original 15 conveyed under Resolution RS2019-1570, of which four were developed and 11 reverted to the Division of Public Property. On February 25, 2025, the Metropolitan Housing Trust Fund Commission voted to regrant five of the reverted properties to THF for land trust development. The resolution declares the parcels surplus, authorizes the Director of Public Property Administration to execute the grant, and takes effect upon adoption. Addresses included are 1707 22nd Ave. N., 2018 Herman St., 2409 Batavia St., 74 Maury St., and 46 Green St., all in Nashville, TN. This action supports the City’s strategy to preserve long-term affordability through community land trusts.
