On February 14, 2025, the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County authorized its Director of Public Property to exercise a fee simple purchase option on the flood-prone residential parcel at 3050 Boulder Park Drive. The 0.32-acre property, owned by Steven D. & Rebecca A. Moore and situated within the floodway and floodplain along McCrory Creek, will be acquired for $395,000 as part of Metro Water Services’ stormwater home buyout program. The acquisition, recommended by the Planning Commission on March 4, 2025, grants Metro access for surveys and environmental assessments within ten days of agreement. The legal description corresponds to Lot 33 of Hickory Bend Subdivision Section II, recorded easements include a 30-foot minimum building setback, a 10-foot utility and drainage easement, rear drainage easement to McCrory Creek, and a first-floor elevation requirement of 444 feet above mean sea level. The option must be exercised within 90 days or expire, with Metro assuming pro-rated property taxes for the current year upon closing. The transaction finalizes existing restrictions recorded in Book 3642, page 478, and Book 4181, page 665 in the Register’s Office.
