The Los Angeles City Council adopted an Ordinance of Intention for the renewal of the West Adams Property and Business Improvement District (BID), a property-based district. This decision initiates the process to re-establish the BID for a proposed ten-year term, commencing on January 1, 2026, and concluding on December 31, 2035. The District encompasses approximately 22 blocks along the commercial corridor of West Adams Boulevard in central western Los Angeles, between La Brea Avenue on the east and Hauser Boulevard on the west. It includes 77 parcels owned by 62 stakeholders. The total assessment over the ten-year period is estimated at $3,365,923.00, with an initial annual assessment of $267,607.00. Funds collected will support various improvements and activities, including Sidewalk Operations, District Identity, and Administration, managed by the West Adams Boulevard BID, Incorporated. The Council's action included the adoption of the Engineer's Report and Management District Plan and finding that the petitions supporting the district establishment were signed by over 50% of the property owners. The ordinance was passed by a unanimous vote.
