The Cultural Heritage Commission determined that the Sam Sharpe Triplex at 1977 North Kenmore Avenue is eligible for inclusion in the list of Historic-Cultural Monuments. The proposed designation was found to be categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The Commission recommended to the City Council that the Triplex be added to the list of Historic-Cultural Monuments, based on its conformity with the definition of a Monument in the Los Angeles Administrative Code. The vote was 4-0 in favor of the recommendation. This decision is subject to adoption by the City Council.
