The Los Angeles City Council considered an application for a Public Convenience or Necessity (Caldera) finding to allow Liquid Partyworks, Inc. to sell alcoholic beverages for on-site and off-site consumption at 21348-21356 West Devonshire Street. This finding is required by state law (the “Caldera Bill”) for liquor license issuance in cases where it might otherwise create law enforcement problems, be in a high-crime area, or contribute to an undue concentration of licenses. The City Council's determination of 'public convenience or necessity' would allow the State Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) to proceed with considering the liquor license application. The matter was tentatively scheduled for City Council consideration on June 10, 2025, in the John Ferraro Council Chamber.
