The PLUM Committee recommended to deny the appeal filed by Supporters Alliance for Environmental Responsibility (SAFER) and to sustain the Los Angeles City Planning Commission's (LACPC) determination. This determination approved a Categorical Exemption as the environmental clearance for the demolition of an existing commercial building and surface parking lot and the subsequent construction of a seven-story, 174,021 square-foot, 181-unit mixed-use building. The project is within Subarea C (Community Center) of the Vermont/Western Station Neighborhood Area Plan (SNAP) Specific Plan. This matter is submitted to the City Council for consideration and is not yet a final official act.
