The Los Angeles City Council adopted a resolution terminating rent reductions and closing the escrow account for the seven‐unit property at 7327 N Variel Ave following full compliance with the Los Angeles Municipal Code and correction of cited electrical violations. All enforcement orders affecting the units have been signed off by LAHD, and outstanding water and electric charges have been paid to LADWP’s satisfaction. The resolution authorizes the release of escrow funds—first to cover administrative fees, rent registration fees, inspection costs, and any penalties—and directs any remaining balance be returned to the landlord. Under Section 162.08.F, rent levels will be restored to original amounts 30 days after tenant notification. The Council also directed LAHD to record a certificate terminating the REAP recording with the County Recorder and to conduct expedited annual inspections—prepaid by the owner—for ongoing code compliance.
