The City Council adopted an ordinance rezoning 9129, 9143, and 9145 North De Soto Avenue from MR2-1 and P-1 to (T)(Q)C2-1, enabling development of a new 108,248 square-foot self-storage facility comprising one four-story building and three one-story buildings plus one on-site caretaker’s unit. The project includes street dedications and public right-of-way improvements—widening the De Soto Avenue sidewalk to 15 feet and planting nine street trees—and provides 21 parking spaces and 16 bicycle spaces under AB 2097. The four-story building reaches 51 feet in height and features a ground-floor customer service center and transparent curtain-wall glazing, while the one-story buildings offer drive-up units screened by green walls. All open areas are attractively landscaped per LAMC and Green Building Code requirements, including rooftop solar panels and EV charging stations.
