The Los Angeles City Council adopted a resolution terminating the rent reductions and closing the rent escrow account for the property at 6020 N Coldwater Canyon Ave in North Hollywood after the Los Angeles Housing Department determined all cited code violations were corrected. The resolution finds that the property owner satisfied outstanding Water and Power charges and received an advisory opinion from Inner City Law Center confirming completion of required repairs. The Council authorized LAHD to release escrowed funds first to cover administrative fees, penalties, registration fees, and any remaining escrow balance to the landlord. It also directed LAHD to file and record with the County Recorder a certificate terminating the REAP recording on the subject property. Furthermore, LAHD will conduct an expedited systematic inspection and require the owner to prepay for two annual inspections beyond the standard SCEP fee.
