On June 16, 2015, the Los Angeles City Council adopted a City Attorney communication and ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 183567, which had introduced the Los Angeles Tourism Marketing District Business Improvement District. The repeal was adopted forthwith following initial introduction on May 20, 2015, effectively nullifying all prior proceedings to establish the district. This action rescinded the proposed 1.5% room rental assessment and eliminated the planned marketing and sales programs outlined in the original management district plan. No further assessments or district activities were authorized.
