The Los Angeles City Council approved the Sustainable Communities Environmental Assessment (SCEA) and Mitigation Monitoring Program (MMP) for the South Park Tower Project. This project involves the demolition of four existing commercial office/retail buildings totaling 89,510 square feet and the construction of a 452,630 square-foot, two-tower mixed-use development. Tower 1 includes a 22-story hotel with 300 guest rooms and ground floor restaurants, while Tower 2 includes a 23-story residential building with 250 dwelling units and ground floor medical offices. The development will occupy a 75,503 square-foot site.
This development aligns with the city's transit-oriented and mixed-use urban planning initiatives. It enhances housing stock, commercial services, and hotel accommodations while meeting environmental and transit accessibility standards.
