An ordinance (2025-247) was introduced by the Land Use and Zoning Committee and enacted by the City Council of Jacksonville to rezone approximately 3.52 acres at the southeast corner of Broward Road and Zoo Parkway. The property, owned by A-B Distributors, Inc., was reclassified from Commercial Office (CO) District to Planned Unit Development (PUD) District. The new PUD designation permits the storage of recreational vehicles, boats, trucks, trailers, and similar items, as well as general commercial uses. The Council found that the rezoning is consistent with the 2045 Comprehensive Plan and will not adversely affect the orderly development, health, or safety of residents or the natural environment. The decision became effective on August 12, 2025.
